Mississippi Land Bank stockholders heard encouraging news about the cooperative’s financial stability and prospects for the future at the annual meeting, April 16 in Como.
Chairman of the Board Abbott Myers outlined some of the challenges facing agriculture in coming months—China’s retaliatory tariffs, low commodity prices and high production costs. But he added that agriculture has a promising future if farmers “mind their Ps and Qs. That’s pennies and quarters,” he says. “The good managers will show up.”
